Link Found Between Obesity and Infertiity

Doctors have long known that women who are overweight have a more difficult time in getting pregnant, but haven't really know why.  New research has found that there is a protein in cells that surround and nourish the egg that is the link between obesity and impaired fertility.  While there may be drugs available to activate the protein and help them develop into healthy eggs, experts agree the best remedy for the problem is losing weight.

More Bad News For The Overweight Trying To Conceive

There has already been research indicating that it is more difficult to conceive if a woman is overweight.  Now there is new evidence which suggests that women who do become pregnant have an increased risk of having a baby with certain birth defects.  The risk is still small, but it is higher for overweight women than woman of a normal weight.  More...
